COLORADO SPRINGS — If you're short on groceries this week, you can pick some up for free at The Chinook Center off Airport Road in Colorado Springs starting at noon as part of the Chinook Center's "People's Grocery Distribution" event.

Anyone can stop by and pick up groceries like meat, fruit, snacks, and canned goods. A community celebration will begin at 2 p.m. where the nonprofit will be fundraising with lunch plates to support different community programs like the free grocery distribution event (which they hope to continue every Sunday while they have supplies). Special guests Colorado State Representatives Leslie Herod and Tony Exum will attend the community celebration they dedicate the mural painted inside. Social distancing will be in place and they will have masks for everybody. The event will be wrapping up at 6 p.m.
