FORT CARSON — Those near Fort Carson might see smoke from the post as the Fort Carson Fire Academy tests 11 of its firefighters Tuesday afternoon.
The Fire Academy will conduct live burn exercises starting at 12:30 p.m. to test hose management, communication, forcible entry and ladders, according to the post.
Firefighters in training who pass the course will be official Fort Carson firefighters.
FCFA offcials said this is the second training class with the first class completing its training in December 2019.
Fort Carson has four fire stations on post and one at Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site.
