FOUNTAIN — There's a new business on tap in Fountain, as the craft brewery Peaks N Pines held a grand opening celebration on Saturday. It's the first brewery to open in Fountain.
It's Peaks N Pines second location, as they have one in Colorado Springs on Tutt Blvd. Those with the brewery said the plans for this Fountain location have been in the works for around two years. They said when they opened today, there was a line of people waiting for them and they were packed since then.
"Fountain has really been needing something like this, and they're lucky enough to have an urban renewal authority group that is working hard to bring in new businesses," said Teresa Vieira, one of the owners of Peaks N Pines.
Those with Peaks N Pines believe this will be the first of many breweries to open in Fountain. You can visit their new location at 212 West Illinois Ave.
