COLORADO SPRINGS — Several firefighters contained a grass fire that started at the Peyton Highway and Jones Rd. at about 12:30 p.m. Numerous crews worked to get the fire under control. You may still see crews working on some of the hotspots and also some smoke in the area.
If you plan on driving through the area, watch for fire crews and emergency equipment. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
