Victim identified in deadly crash in northeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — The woman who died in a fatal crash involving a Nissan Sedan and motorcycle on Wednesday night has been identified.

Colorado Springs Police said 62-year-old Marion Scott died on scene as a result of her injuries.

The crash happened on Jan. 13 just before 6 p.m.at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Pkwy. and Oro Blanco Dr.

Officials say the Nissan was traveling westbound on Austin Bluffs Pkwy. and turned left onto Oro Blanco Dr. when the motorcycle hit the Nissan.

The other three occupants of the Nissan were not injured. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the motorcycle and was transported to a hospital for life threatening injuries.

Police said impairment and excessive speed have not been ruled out for a cause of the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.
