EPCSO seizes largest illegal marijuana cultivation operations; recovers over 700 plants

EL PASO COUNTY — According to a release, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office seized one the largest illegal marijuana cultivation operations to date on Thursday.

On Thursday, the Rural Enforcement and Outreach unit, Tactical Support Unit, and Metro Vice Narcotics Intelligence (MVNI) Division executed simultaneous search warrants in the 20000 block of Sahara Drive and 15000 block of Wagon Trail.

During the search warrant, an illegal marijuana cultivation operation was discovered as well as evidence linking these two operations to a third operation at 33000 East Highway 24.

A third search warrant was executed on the third location and another large illegal grow was found.

A total of 703 plants, over $28,000 in cash, and five firearms were recovered.

The value of the plants recovered is valued at over $700,000.
