EL PASO COUNTY — The El Paso County Court System has scaled back its operations after a court staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
The Chief Judge for the county, along with the State Health Dept., has decided to limit court operations from Aug. 3 to Aug. 14, with some exceptions.
All jury trials and most other in-person hearings are postponed.
The county said the employee has been quarantined and was not involved in a jury trial. The individual did however work in Division 15 on July 27 and Division 19 on July 29.
If you were involved in either of those proceedings, contact the State Judicial Court System so contact tracing can begin. All other questions for the next two weeks should be directed to the local court system.
