COLORADO SPRINGS — A man driving under the influence crashed into the front yard of someone's home just after midnight Friday, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Officers said 26-year-old Victor Rodriguez was driving a Ford truck down Walnut Street and pulling up to the stop sign on the intersection with West Boulder Street.

CSPD said Rodriguez ran the stop sign and drove into someone's front yard.

When police arrived, they said the Ford had "heavy front end damage."

The driver was injured in the crash, and he is being treated for those injuries.

Officers said there was no damage to the residence and that no one was home when this happened.

CSPD said Rodriguez was arrested on DUI and other traffic charges.
