COLORADO SPRINGS — Officials confirmed to News5 that a truck driver was hit by a passing car Wednesday afternoon on northbound I-25 near the Fontanero exit.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said the trucker was pulled over on the side of the highway after getting a flat tire in one of the front tires.
The man was standing outside of his vehicle when he was looking around the front of the truck and got hit with a side mirror of a car passing by, according to officers.
The car then drove off, but officers were able to find the vehicle later on.
Officials reported the driver has non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be all right.
