DENVER — A Denver Post newspaper delivery driver was shot in the hand and his car was stolen early Saturday morning in northwest Denver, police said.
The robbery happened about 5 a.m. in the 4900 block of North Perry Street, where the driver had stopped to take a newspaper to a front porch. When he got out of his car, the suspect jumped in the driver's seat, police said.
The driver ran back to the car but the suspect shot him through the window, striking the delivery driver's hand. The suspect drove off in the victim's Chrysler 300, and the victim was taken to a hospital, police said.
