FOUNTAIN — Just before 7 p.m. Monday night, Fountain Police were dispatched to High Spirits Liquor on Santa Fe Ave. for a reported robbery.
Fountain Police said the suspect entered the business, said he had a weapon, and demanded money from the clerk.
Two other customers saw what was happening and intervened. They held the suspect down until police arrived a short time later, according to Fountain Police.
The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old James Mason. He was booked for Aggravated Robbery, Menacing, and Theft.
