CSPD responds to weapons incident at Citadel Mall

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a weapons incident at the Citadel Mall on Friday afternoon.

CSPD said they received a call about a possible shooter at the mall around 12:14 p.m. and do not believe anyone actually shot a gun inside the mall.

Officers say that several parties got into an argument and someone pulled a handgun.

During the investigation, a school in the mall, along with JCPenny, were briefly placed on lockdown.

Police are still investigating the scene, but it is not an active scene.
