COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police responded to a crash Wednesday afternoon involving a suspect vehicle that was being pursued.

According to CSPD, eight juveniles were detained after the pursuit came to an end at Moffat and Murray. This is on the east side of Colorado Springs.

CSPD said the suspect vehicle was reportedly involved in a robbery, menacing, a BMV, and a drive-by shooting earlier in the day.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle around 3 p.m. and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled and crashed into another vehicle near Canada Dr. and Constitution Ave. The pursuit was then called off because officers deemed it too dangerous.

Shortly after the pursuit was called off, CSPD said it was initiated again. The suspect vehicle then crashed into another vehicle at Moffat and Murray and was boxed in by a CSPD cruiser.

CSPD said multiple firearms were recovered from the scene.

None of the drivers involved in either crash suffered serious injuries.
