COLORADO SPRINGS — Two men are in custody in connection to five burglary cases that spanned over a 1-month period, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

CSPD said the focus of the burglaries in October were Colorado Lottery scratch tickets, cash registers and cigarettes.

Officers said they had photos of the suspect and vehicles, when an officer spotted one suspect vehicle on Nov. 1.

Police arrested Sean Haley, who was in the car, on unrelated warrants. Later on, they found evidence that linked him to the string of burglaries.

CSPD said further investigation led them to arrest Stephen Padillia, the second suspect involved in the burglaries.

Both of the suspects were charged with five counts of Second Degree Burglary, a class 4 felony, and two counts of Money Laundering, a class 3 felony.

CSPD said Haley was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance.
