COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police are looking for the man who hit and seriously injured a man with his car outside of a bar early Friday morning.

Officers said it happened around 1:45 a.m. at the Copperhead Road bar on N. Academy Boulevard when a Hispanic man was kicked out of the bar. Police said he began arguing with people who were outside in the parking lot.

That's when police said the suspect, who hasn't yet been identified, got into a late 1990s single-cab Chevy Silverado and drove toward a group of people in the parking lot, hitting a man. Police said the truck suffered damage to the passenger side of the vehicle before it drove away from the scene.

The victim suffered a "serious bodily injury," but he was stable when he was taken to the hospital.

Anyone with information about the suspect or anyone who has a tip about the suspect's vehicle should call Colorado Springs police at 719-444-7000.
