COLORADO SPRINGS — Neighbors say a teenage boy was shot and killed outside the leasing office of the Greentree Apartments in Colorado Springs on Sunday evening.
According to CSPD, there was a report of gunfire at the apartment complex on N. Carefree Circle and N. Academy Boulevard before 2 p.m.
Medics arrived to find the boy in the parking lot with gunshot wounds and were unable to save his life. Officers blocked off all access to the parking lot for several hours as they collected evidence and spoke with neighbors.
No suspect information has been released by CSPD. They are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867.
Details on the name of the deceased will be released by the El Paso County Coroner's Office.
