COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old boy dead Friday night.
At approximately 9:05 p.m. Friday, officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of 2250 La Salle Street for an urgent assist. When they arrived, officers found a juvenile male with an apparent gunshot wound.
CSPD identified the victim Tuesday morning as 15-year-old Isaac James.
Life-saving measures were performed on James, but he died on scene.
Police said this death is being treated as a homicide. This is the 24th homicide investigation in Colorado Springs this year. This time last year, Colorado Springs had 31 homicides.
