COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police have confirmed they are investigating a shooting that happened outside the Citadel Mall.
Around 4 p.m. Thursday several people called the police to report a possible drive-by shooting in the parking lot, near the entrance to the Hooters restaurant.
When they arrived officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital, but his current condition is not known.
Investigators say the victim went to the parking lot to meet at least one other person. At some point that person shot the victim then drove away before police arrived.
CSPD says the suspect vehicle is gray and has damage to the front driver side bumper.
