COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police have identified the victim in a shooting that occurred Nov. 5 on Briargate Blvd.
On the aforementioned date, CSPD officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2600 block of Briargate Blvd. and found an injured adult man.
The man was was transported to an area hospital but recently succumbed to his injuries, according to CSPD.
The El Paso County Coronrer's Office has completed an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide.
According to CSPD, the man has been identified as 19-year-old Alija Vialpando of Colorado Springs. His death is the 23rd homicide in Colorado Springs this year.
CSPD said this is still an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the department.
