CSPD identifies victim in homicide investigation

COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police have identified the victim killed after he was struck by a vehicle on September 20.

Around 9:42 p.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a convenience store located in the 2800 block of South Circle Drive.

Investigation at the scene said an adult man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was intentionally hit by a vehicle while in the parking lot of the convenience store. The vehicle then fled the area.

The victim, who has been identified as 53-year-old Michael Dean Strong, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

This death is being investigated as a homicide and continues to be an active investigation.
