COLORADO SPRINGS — A suspect was taken into custody Thursday night following a lengthy standoff, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Officers arrived to a home in the 1800 block of Monteagle Street, southwest of Palmer Park near Constitution Avenue and North Union Boulevard, around 5 p.m. where an armed man was not cooperating with authorities. An officer on scene told News5 that officers were trying to serve a warrant.
The department was able to take the man into custody around 9 p.m. Residents in the neighborhood during this time were asked to stay inside.
