COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a house fire Saturday afternoon just east of downtown.
The fire was in a home at 1212 Monument. Street.
Crews responded to the home shortly after 4 p.m.
CSFD said there were no injuries but a dog did have to be rescued from the home.
Due to the heat Saturday, a second alarm was called so crews could stay safe and hydrated.
The residents of the home, who were not home when the fire started, will be temporarily displaced.
