A school in a small town in Colorado will reach a big milestone this month.

Crowley County High School will turn 100 years old on October 20.

But since the school's homecoming game is this week people will celebrate a little bit early.

"It is a sense of pride to have a continuously running high school for 100 years it is something that is really rare in the state of Colorado," said Annette Barber from the Crowley County Heritage Center.

Crowley County High is one of the oldest schools in Colorado to still use the same building.

Grant requests have been put in to make improvements to the structure.
