CHAFFEE COUNTY — Rescue crews located the body of a hiker Wednesday who had been missing since July 22, according to the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said the body of 60-year-old Terry Pann, of Nathrop, was found west of West Apostle Peak around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Pann was believed to have been hiking alone in the area of Ice Mountain/Three Apostles, an area known for "very steep rugged terrain," last week.
Wednesday marked one week since Pann went missing and the fifth day of the search after he was reported missing Saturday.
The sheriff's office said the Chaffee County Coroner will transport Pan to the Coroner's Office for an autopsy and identification.
