Crews restore power for customers in southeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Customers in southeast Colorado Springs were impacted by an outage Wednesday morning, according to Colorado Springs Utilities.

CSU said this outage was caused by "an issue with a transformer at a substation."

The outage initially impacted over 7,000 customers. Around 5:30 a.m., this number dropped to 4,777.

Restoration work began just before 5 a.m. and all power was restored around 6:05 a.m.
