PUEBLO — People and businesses in Pueblo paid it forward on Friday with Cooperative Care's annual Feeding 5,000 event.
It was inspired from a story in the Bible.
Workers spent all day in trucks stopping at several locations to pick up food and other supplies to help those in need who use Pueblo Cooperative Care.
"We have so many customers so to speak that they say thank you for doing this, it is wonderful that you are doing this, those that give are gracious and we see the abundance rather than the scarcity," said organizer Tony Ashworth.
If you missed out but still want to help Cooperative Care is still accepting donations.
