COLORADO SPRINGS — Paid parking returns to downtown Colorado Springs on Monday, June 1, and people will have a new option to pay.
The city is partnering with Parkmobile to give users a free download to pay their meters online.
"A lot of people are leery about coming out downtown, and now we're offering a way for them to not have to physically touch a meter to put time on it and be able to park downtown," said Parking Services Director Scott Lee.
The addition falls in line with the city's efforts to give drivers more parking options.
Parkmobile will be added to meters starting Friday.
The app is available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
