COLORADO SPRINGS — A full day of food, fun and celebration of space exploration is happening this weekend in Colorado Springs.

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is hosting an event Saturday, July 20th to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and the history making event that saw U.S. Astronauts walk on the surface of the moon.

Tickets must be purchased by Friday, July 19th and can be found at the Space Foundation's website.

Saturday's event runs from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and will include a variety of events including the unveiling of a Moon Landing stamp by the USPS, a presentation with Astronaut Duane "Digger" Carey, a rocket show, face painting, Apollo virtual reality and an opportunity to drove a Rover in the Lockheed Martin Mars Robotic Laboratory.

There will also be a variety of food trucks on site throughout the day.
