COLORADO SPRINGS — A Walmart store on the east side of Colorado Springs will temporarily closed Monday due to COVID-19 concerns.

According to a Walmart spokesperson, the store located at 3201 E. Platte Ave was closed to the public at 2 p.m. Monday and will remain closed all day on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

During this time a third-party specialist will sanitize the store. This time will also give associates time to restock the shelves and prepare the store, according to the spokesperson.

The statement from the Walmart spokesperson also said that when the store reopens on Wed, Oct. 14 at 7 a.m., they will continue to conduct daily health screenings and temperature checks of every associate before every shift and provide masks and gloves to associates.
