COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department is searching for any additional witnesses or victims with information in connection to a sexual assault case from February 2019.

Police said they began an investigation in February 2020 and identified the suspect as 22-year-old Angelo Ritter-Zwieg. They also said they identified one more victim in an unrelated-assault case.

Officers arrested Ritter-Zwieg last month for two counts of sexual assault, one count for sexual assault of a child. During his arrest, police said they found child pornography in his possession and charged him with sexual exploitation of a child.

The department said they learned Ritter-Zwieg used a dating app to talk to one of the victims and then continued communication through Snapchat.

Officers are asking the public for any information that may lead them to witnesses or victims that can provide information about their investigations into Ritter-Zwieg or on unreported "criminal occurrences" involving him.

You are asked to call the department at (719) 444-7000. If you would like to remain anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (719) 634-7867.
