COLORADO SPRINGS — Four people in a stolen vehicle connected to multiple robberies attempted to flee police Wednesday morning, causing heavy police activity near South Murray Boulevard and Chapman Drive. Officers were able to track down three of the four people.

Officers arrested two teenagers and charged them in connection to two robberies that took place last month and one that took place early Wednesday morning. The other passenger in the vehicle officers arrested was charged with obstruction and not "associated with the robberies."

CSPD said on Feb. 9 they received a call of a home being burglarized and that a 2016 red Chevrolet Trax was stolen by the suspects. Later that month, the vehicle was used by the suspects on Feb. 26 to rob a Circle K off Galley Road.

On Wednesday, police said the suspects robbed a Circle K off Dublin Boulevard. One of the suspects wore a mask and carried both a shotgun and handgun. Officers said the suspect fired the handgun, but no one was injured.

Later that day, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle that tried to flee the scene, but the officer stopped it using the patrol car. Police found weapons inside the vehicle. A 16-year-old boy was arrested for two counts of aggravated robbery and a 15-year-old boy was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree burglary, aggravated motor vehicle theft, two counts of aggravated robbery, illegal discharge of a firearm and vehicle eluding.

The third person arrested was 24-year-old Nathan Shull, who was not believed to be involved in the robberies. He was charged with obstruction.
