COLORADO SPRINGS — With gyms and community centers closed, the City of Colorado Springs wants the public to know that city parks are still open.

Trails and parks across town are open for use, but park managers want people to continue to excise social distancing when getting outdoors.

"If things do look like it's a little crowded, please look at alternative activities," said Karen Polis, Director of the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation & Cultural Services. "Weather you go kick a soccer ball, play with a Frisbee, do some other activity within those facilities, to make sure you get a chance to recreate and enjoy the great outdoors."
