SAGUACHE COUNTY — Around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Saguache County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a crash in the area of 17 and AA in Saguache County.
The Sheriff's Office said they received a call about a car verses an elk crash.
A Colorado Springs man in a four door car hit an elk with the front end of his car. Fortunately, he was not injured. His car was not so lucky.
The Sheriff's Office asks that drivers please take their time and be careful when driving in the mountains. There can be a lot of the animals on the roads right now, in particular elk, who are entering their breeding season.
