COLORADO SPRINGS — The City of Colorado Springs continues looking forward to its 150th birthday in 2021.
On Friday a socially-distanced crowd helped Mayor John Suthers to celebrate the city's 149th birthday at General Palmer's former home at Glen Erie.
Suthers read writings from city founders and talked about how they apply now.
Some challenges for the coming year were also discussed.
Plans for the sesquicentennial include contests, tree planting, and other celebrations.
