COLORADO SPRINGS — Some dentists in Colorado Springs are raising money to help improve children's smiles around the world.

Four dentists, staff and family from Springs Dentistry will head to Tena, Ecuador in March for eight days of dental work. They will mostly do dental work on children.

The group says the goal is to just give them a better quality of life.

"I thinks we'll see a lot of tooth decay, maybe some abscess teeth, probably some periodontal issues. We're gonna be able to hopefully do a lot of fillings on some of these people," said John Lydiatt, DDS Springs Dental.

The group is working with organizations in South America. What equipment they bring, they will leave there.

Springs dental workers volunteer services here as well.
