COLORADO SPRINGS — Coloradans will be able to see the Colorado National Guard and the U.S. Air Force conduct flyovers for Colorado heroes and healthcare workers Wednesday.
The 302nd Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserve will flyover Colorado hospitals Wednesday beginning at 11:24 a.m.:
- UCHealth Memorial Central at 11:24 a.m.
- Centura-Penrose Hospital at 11:25 a.m.
- VA Hospital at 11:25 a.m.
- UCHealth Grandview at 11:26 a.m.
- St. Francies Medical Center at 11:28 a.m.
- UCHealth Memorial North at 11:30 a.m.
The Colorado National Guard also announced that flyovers will be performed across Colorado on to salute those fighting on the front lines of the war against COVID-19.
As part of Operation American Resolve, Air Force units around the country are doing flyovers in an effort to boost morale during the pandemic.
According to a release, the Colorado Air National Guard will fly F-16 Fighting Falcon aircrafts around Colorado Cities and towns on from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The 140th Wing will launch the jets from Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora. The jets will then travel around the state visiting locations from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, as well as mountain communities. A full schedule can be seen above.
