MANITOU SPRINGS — The City of Manitou Springs announced Wednesday afternoon that an Emergency Mask Order is being drafted and will be effective immediately once signed.
The city said that 80 percent of residents who responded to a survey expressed concern over the lack of mask usage in the community.
On Tuesday, the City Council, under the city's current emergency ordinance, gave direction to implement an order requiring mask usage.
The statement released Wednesday from the city said more details will be available once the order is created and signed by the Mayor of City Administrator.
