City of Fountain to close Southmoor Dr. on April 15 for safety reasons

FOUNTAIN — According to a release, City of Fountain to close Southmoor Dr. on April 15, 2020 due to bank erosion along Fountain Creek that may compromise the stability of the road and create unsafe conditions for motorists and a concern for public safety.

The City is monitoring the conditions of the road very closely and working with the Fountain Creek Watershed District on a solution.

All property owners in this location will still have access to their property during the closure.

April 15th has been selected as the closure date in order to give the residents and the public ample time to prepare for this action.

The road will be closed at the north side of the American Legion driveway to approximately 50 yards north of American Legion.
