FOUNTAIN — You can have fun with the whole family by dressing up in your best costume and enjoying a free movie at John Metcalfe Park!

"Movie Night in the Park" will feature the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus and the event will kick off at 5 p.m. Friday evening.

Lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray and flashlights are recommended. (Inclement weather may delay or cancel events. Follow the City of Fountainon Facebookfor updates!)

There will also be a concession stand selling popcorn, snacks and drinks. Kids will also walk away with a bag full of candy.

If you attend, remember to practice social distancing. The city encourages attendees to stay with members of their party, wear masks and stay at least six (6) feet apart from others.

This event is sponsored by Fountain Utilities – Your Hometown Utility!

(Attendees registered online here.)

Even though registration is closed, the city noted there are typically more people who register than people who show up. In total, there are 125 spots available. However, depending on how many people actually show up, event organizers may allow others to join.

To clarify, this event won't replace the annual Trunk or Treat event happening in the City of Fountain. Instead, these events will happen separately unlike years past, and Trunk or Treat will be a drive-thru style event.

Here are details on that:
