COLORADO SPRINGS — In a release on Monday, the City of Colorado Springs will continue to suspended enforcement of parking meters through at least May 25 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Time limited spots will also not be enforced as well.

The suspension includes parking meters in downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City, along with structured parking.

The city also announced that they are also extending availability of designated curbside parking spaces with orange signs for curbside services from restaurants and businesses.

Drivers must stay in their vehicle while parked at these designated curbside spaces.

Enforcement of normal violations, like parking in fire hydrant zones and fire lanes, will still continue.

After this suspension is limited, the city will begin using a nwq parking payment method with ParkMobile to provide a mobile payment option for customers.

This service is expected to be available this summer to provide “touchless” payment using the ParkMobile app at parking meters.
