CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN — A News5 engineer had a close encounter with a bear this week.
She was driving near the Old Stage Riding Stables in Cheyenne Mountain Thursday evening and ran across a bear wandering around the area.
The bear wandered toward her car before heading down into the ditch to cool off in the creek.
It also made a snack of some of the tasty greenery in the area.
