CANON CITY — Local business have been hit the hardest due to COVID-19, but one real estate agency in Canon City is trying to change that.
Coming Home Realty is offering to match your gift card spending for any of the local restaurants or local shops up to a total match of $1,000.
Currently, the realty group has raised over $8,000 & helped several small businesses like pet groomers, yarn stores, boutiques and art galleries.
"It makes you feel like you are doing something to help when you feel a little helpless," said Carla Braddy, a Realtor at Coming Home Realty. "Right now, you can pick up the phone and you can offer to take part in this because it will inject some money into the small business budget and maybe it will help them be able to pay their main rent."
According to Braddy, several other realty groups have joined in the movement.
