COLORADO SPRINGS — The bodies of two missing hikers were found early Saturday morning in Colorado Springs.
Around 8:30 Friday night, Colorado Springs Police received a report of potentially missing elderly adults.
Lee and Stella Vigil were last known to be hiking near the Edmondson Trailhead, at 306 East Woodmen Road.
Officers and family members responded to the area.
According to authorities, El Paso County Search and Rescue found the bodies around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The bodies were found with apparent gunshot wounds, adjacent to Fountain Creek, just off of the Santa Fe Trail.
Colorado Springs Police said Sunday morning that they are not looking for any suspects and have identified all persons involved in the incident.
