SAGUACHE COUNTY — Saguache County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a homicide case that happened on the morning of Dec. 6.
With assistance from Colorado State Patrol, authorities arrested 45-year-old Donald Garcia without incident in an abandoned camper in Saguache Tuesday morning.
On Sunday, deputies with the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in the 800 block of Gunnison Ave. on a report of an injured man who sustained what would ultimately become fatal injuries. Authorities identified the victim as 50-year-old Robert Turner Jr. from Salida. Investigators are not releasing how Turner died, as this is part of the active investigation.
Garcia is being held at the Saguache County Jail without bond and faces a charge of first-degree murder.
