Kyla has been located and found safe.

The Aurora Police Department and Colorado Bureau of Investigation are searching for a 7-year-old girl last seen around 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Aurora Police say Kyla White is about 3'6" tall and weighs 80 pounds. She was wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt when she was last seen with her father, Lee Ellis White.

Lee White is described as 5'11" tall and weighing 203 pounds, and was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt and carrying a black backpack.

The two were last seen in the area of Colfax Avenue and Ursula Street in Aurora.

Aurora Police say Lee White took Kyla from her mother's home on East 14th Avenue in Aurora Thursday morning without warning, violating a protection order that stemmed from a previous criminal case that did not involve Kyla.

Because he violated that protective order there is now an active warrant for his arrest.

Aurora Police say they do not believe Kyla is in danger due to being with her father, but they are working to find her and return her to her mother.

It's currently unknown what if Lee White is in a vehicle of any kind.

Anyone who sees them is asked to call 9-1-1.

Aurora PD says this does not qualify as an Amber Alert, but as a missing endangered person by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
