COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a shooting Wednesday night that left one person with a gunshot wound.
Officers arrived to the 2000 block of Carmel Drive and said they found the victim who had a gunshot wound to his arm.
CSPD said the victim told officers he was sitting in his truck when the suspect came up to him and pointed a handgun at him.
Officers said the suspect demanded any valuables the victim had on him. When the victim refused, the suspect shot him and ran off.
Authorities said they could not find the suspect. He is described as a black male, short black hair and was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his gunshot wound.
Police said the injury was not life-threatening.
