PUEBLO COUNTY — Deputies from the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office and fire personnel responded to a blaze Saturday night in Pueblo County.
The Sheriff's Office said the fire was near railroad tracks, north of mile marker 108. Approximately 10,000 railroad ties were on fire in two separate locations.
Train traffic was stopped while crews worked to put out the fire.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the preliminary investigation indicates this was an act of arson. Investigators with the BNSF Railway are conducting the investigation.
