COLORADO SPRINGS — The Alzheimer's Association is doing what it can to lift the spirits of senior citizens as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

The organization has been doing drive-by parades at senior centers in the Springs and Pueblo for the past three weekends.

Members of the organization say its rewarding to lift the spirits of others.

"Oh my gosh it brings so much joy and so uch happiness. I mean we love doing it because it lifts our spirits," Charlotte Long, Regional Development Manager with the Alzheimer's Association said.

Volunteers, community members, family, and friends take part in the parades.
