Altercation between 2 people ends with 1 being stabbed, police say

COLORADO SPRINGS — Two people were arrested following an altercation that ended with one of the men sustaining a stab wound Monday evening, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Officers said the two men, Joshua Hill and Allen Akers, were not together when officers arrived to the area of Bijou Street and North Spruce Street at 5:30 p.m.

When the men were contacted, CSPD said they learned that they were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical.

Authorities said both were treated for their injuries and both were arrested.

CSPD said one suspect was taken to jail for 1st Degree Assault and the other was served and released.
