PUEBLO — The Colorado State Patrol is investigating an accident that left a man dead on southbound I-25 just north of Pueblo early Tuesday morning. A State Patrol Trooper says a 2005 Ford Escape went off the left side of the highway, tried to re-enter the lanes and ended up rolling two-and-a-half times. The 4x4 ended up on the right side of the roadway.
31-year old Cimone Hill, from Colorado Springs, was thrown from the SUV when it rolled. He was taken to Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo and was pronounced dead. Mr. Hill was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The passenger in the Escape, 30-year old Tara Saunders, of Colorado Springs was not wearing a seatbelt either, but she only sustained moderate injuries. It's unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
